The November 10th show discussed seizures in dogs and cats. Our expert guest was be board-certified neurologist Dr. Don Levesque from the Veterinary Neurological Centers in Phoenix, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Seizures are the most common neurological disorder that affects dogs and cats. The causes of seizures are varied and include congenital problems, epilepsy, and brain-related inflammation or tumors. We discussed the available treatments and prognosis for this disease, including when to start treatment, different treatment options that are available, and the overall goals and expectations of treatment.
